A Letter from the photographer

Hey there, I’m Shenelle, and I’m so excited you’ve found your way here. Let me take you on a little journey through my world of photography—one that’s built on years of passion, connection, and a whole lot of love for capturing moments.

My love affair with photography started long before I even knew it was a “thing” I wanted to pursue. I’ve always had a camera in hand or within arm’s reach. My first digital camera at 11, a video camera at 15, and countless disposable cameras along the way—I was always snapping away. But it wasn’t just about the equipment; it was about the way it made me feel. From the first click of the shutter, I felt connected to something bigger than myself.

Growing up, I’d find myself diving into photo albums like they were treasures, pulling them from shelves or old dusty drawers, turning the pages with the utmost care. My Dad’s slides, stored up high in the kitchen cupboard, are a memory that will forever stay with me. I’d drag a chair over, pull them out, and listen to the clicks of the projector as each frame changed. There was something so sacred about those moments—preserving stories, emotions, and the laughter of days gone by.

Now, I carry that same nostalgia and energy into every session. For me, photography is about more than just images—it’s about creating memories. Your memories. Your family’s story. The genuine, raw, unposed moments that tell the truth about who you are, what you love, and the people who make your heart skip a beat. It’s about capturing the magic of now so that you can hold onto it forever.

Thank you for trusting me to be the one who tells your story. I can’t wait to get to know you, to celebrate your life through my lens, and to create something truly beautiful together.

Love, Shenelle. ✨
